Ted: I reckon most antiquated institutions ain't too keen on encouraging folks to fight the power these days.

Michelle: Oh, hey, remember to charge his iPad. You hung me out to dry last time.
Ted: The only thing at zero percent should be your doubt that it will be done.

Ted: Higgins in shorts. Oh, my.
Higgins: I feel unleashed, Ted.

Rebecca: I love the food in Kansas.
Ted: Yeah. Well, actually, we're in Missouri right now. Kansas is just right across the street over there.

Ted: Henry grew a foot. Uh, you know, in height, not a third one.

Ted: What about you and Roy? How y'all doing?
Keeley: Yeah, we're great. Just really, really good friends.
Ted: Mmm. How about that? Is that how Roy sees it too?
Keeley: Mm-hmm. Mmm. Mm-hmm.

Rebecca: I've recently switched my favorite color to green.
Ted: Mmm, and I envy your ability to change.

Rebecca: We want you to coach our women's team. To lay the foundations of the Richmond culture that you created with our men.
Ted: Are you trying to sabotage this team now too, or something?
Rebecca: No, quite the opposite. Last time, I hired you for all the wrong reasons. This time, I absolutely want to hire you for all the right ones.

Ted: Come on and check out Henry's soccer game.
Rebecca: Yeah, we'd love to.
Higgins: Don't you mean football, Ted?
Ted: Uh, no, sir, we're in America, my friend. We call it soccer, and I've got dollars in my pants, and we use elevators to go up to our apartments where we poop French fries into our diapers.

Keeley: Everything in Kansas is really cushy.
Dottie: No, actually, we're in Missouri now. Kansas City, Missouri.
Rebecca: Oh. How many cities are in this city?
Dottie and Ted: Two.

Ted: I really appreciate what you're trying to teach Henry. Y'know, I used to have a player like him always playing in cursive when I just needed the young fella to play in print...

Keeley: The Kansas City me is six hours ahead of the London me, and I've already worked out, eaten the biggest breakfast burrito I've ever seen in my life, worked out a second time, and returned all of my emails before the shops here are even open.

Higgins: Will the jazz museum be opening shortly?
Museum Guide: No, sir. It's closed for a private event. The Abramowitz Bar Mitzvah. Rumor is the parents hired Janelle Mon?e, Ariana Grande, and, uh, someone else real tiny.
Higgins: Bruno Mars?

Keeley: She's just trying on the suit that you got for her.
Tammy: Did I get your size right, Glamazon with pajamas on?

Museum Guide: Yeah, the Negro Leagues were glorious. They didn't do it for fame or fortune. They did it because to not play would have been unacceptable. My favorite saying of old Satch's was, "Ain't no man can avoid being born average. But there ain't no man that got to be common."

Rebecca: (Referring to Keeley) It's like walking around Wonka's chocolate factory with Veruca Salt... I want a stadium now.

Higgins: The women's team does need our support. 'Cause ain't none of those women are common, Rebecca.

Ted: I dig this fit. You look like Mookie from 'Do the Right Thing.'

Higgins: I'm going to miss the hot Midwestern air flowing through my leg hair.

Rebecca: What can I say, Ted? Kansas City barbecue's changed me.
Ted: Hmm. Well, if you eat all that food, you're gonna change the toilet on that plane.

Rebecca: Bye, Ted. God bless you.
Ted: You better hurry or you'll miss that plane.
Rebecca: It's my f**king plane, Ted. It's not going anywhere.

Notes and Trivia

The beeping of the checkout stand at the beginning of the episode is reminiscent of a heart monitor, perhaps signalling that the show is back and has new life.

Filming took place in Kansas City, Missouri in July and August 2025.

The owner of the "Fowch" grocery store is "Ronnie", which is a throwback to Season one where Ted recounts a childhood trauma from Brookridge Elementary School, warning Roy Kent that if "little Ronnie Fowch" ever offers you a candy bar, you must run away because there is a high chance he pooped inside a Butterfinger wrapper. Note that in this episode, Ronnie Fowch is eating a Butterfinger candy bar.

Shown at the supermarket checkout stand, the cigarette brand "Red Apple" is a reference to a fictional brand of cigarettes shown in Quentin Tarantino films.

When Henry's coach says "take a seat Mbappe" he is referring to football star Kylian Mbappe who plays as a forward for La Liga club Real Madrid and captains the France national team.

When Ted tells Higgins he "looks like Mookie from 'Do the Right Thing.'" Higgins is wearing a retro Kansas City Monarchs jersey he purchased from the gift shop of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum.

In Kansas City, the Main Street location of Gates Bar-B-Q was a key filming location. The restaurant, known for its signature sauce and Kansas City’s famous burnt ends, was highlighted in a promotional photo and video shared by Apple TV+ and Tim Cook on social media. The scene featured Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso), Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca Welton), Juno Temple (Keeley Jones), and Jeremy Swift (Leslie Higgins) in a corner booth.

Several scenes were filmed at Kansas City's Country Club Plaza, a historic downtown retail area known for its Spanish-inspired architecture and fountains.

The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, located in Kansas City’s historic jazz district, was closed for a day to accommodate filming. The production crew spent an entire day shooting scenes, showcasing the museum’s role in preserving African American baseball history.

CPKC Stadium, the home of the Kansas City Current women’s soccer team, was used for filming. Paparazzi photos showing actors and extras in teal-coloured kits, likely portraying players on the Current. Fans reported extensive shooting in intense heat.

The Swope Soccer Village sports complex, which features nine soccer fields and a championship field, was another filming location, seemingly aligning with Ted Lasso's continued soccer coaching activity.

Filming occurred at the grocery store McKeever’s Market & Eatery in the Kansas City suburb of Lee’s Summit, with fans gathering to watch.

A residential area in Blue Springs, a Kansas City suburb, was used for filming. Production teams issued letters to residents about road closures and filming activities, with Jason Sudeikis reportedly interacting with locals after shooting.
