Ted Lasso
Ted Lasso is an American comedy developed by Bill Lawrence, Jason Sudeikis, Joe Kelly, and Brendan Hunt, and based on a character of the same name Sudeikis first portrayed in a series of promos for NBC Sports' coverage of the Premier League. It's first ten-episode season premiered on Apple TV on August 14, 2020. A second twelve-episode season began on July 23, 2021. A third season began to air on 15 March 2023.
On March 14, 2025, Apple TV+ officially announced that the beloved comedy series would returning for Season 4. Jason Sudeikis would be back as the optimistic coach we all adore, bringing more heart, humor, and AFC Richmond spirit to our screens. Details TBA.
The story is of Ted Lasso, a college-level American football coach who is unexpectedly recruited to coach an English Premier League team, AFC Richmond, despite having no experience in football (soccer).
